“It takes a village to raise a child.”

Compassion that reaches further.
Through collaboration across communities and borders, we turn shared purpose into practical support.
Who we are
Creating opportunity where it is needed most.
The B.Y. Foundation e.V. works to empower disadvantaged children and communities by addressing the root causes of poverty and helping people unlock their potential.
Through education, healthcare, nutrition, community support, and practical skills, we work to restore safety, dignity, opportunity, and hope.

Projects we are building together.
These are real, live projects happening on the ground. Your support, time, and voice make them possible.
School projectA school for Jerusalem, Ghana
Only 35 of 88 children in Jerusalem are in school, and the youngest learn in an open pavilion with no toilets, water, or power. We're raising about €30,000–38,000 for three classrooms, toilets, water, electricity, and furniture for up to 96 children.
B.Y. BuildCommunity Resource & Skills Centre
A multi-use space where young people learn practical skills, receive mentorship, and build livelihoods. Together we can make it real — and we need your hands, ideas, and support.
B.Y. HospitalB.Y. Community Hospital
A dedicated community health facility to bring quality, accessible healthcare to underserved families in Ghana. From maternal care to general outreach — we are building something lasting.
How we do it
A method, not a one-off gesture.
The foundation works in person, with partners, and for the longer piece of change, from the first conversation to the classroom, the clinic, and the livelihood that follows.
- 01
Start where people are
We listen to families, schools, clinics, and local partners first. The work follows a real need in a real place, not a plan written far away.
- 02
Give what can be used now
Uniforms, books, meals, eye screening, medicine, and classrooms. Support is practical, visible, and meant to restore dignity the same day.
- 03
Work with partners, not around them
Schools, hospitals, the Ghana Education Service, the Gold Coast Organization, and volunteers across five countries carry the work with us.
- 04
Stay for the longer piece
Emergency relief sits beside lasting work: a school block, a skill, a small business, and follow-through after the cameras leave.
Safeguarding
Everyone we work with deserves to be safe.
Children, young people, and vulnerable adults are at the centre of our work. Our safeguarding policy sets out how the team, volunteers, partners, and visitors keep them safe.
Children and vulnerable adults come first
Their safety and wellbeing come before any project, photograph, visit, or deadline.
Safe people in safe roles
Team members, volunteers, partners, and visitors who work with children are briefed on this policy and agree to its code of conduct before they start.
Respectful photos and stories
We ask for consent before taking or sharing pictures, never publish a child's full name with their home location, and remove any picture on request.
Every concern is heard
Concerns are taken seriously, handled in confidence, and followed up. Abuse, exploitation, or harassment is never tolerated and is reported to the authorities.
