Public library in Sekyere East

At B.Y. Foundation, we believe education is the strongest lever for development. It builds strong societies and is one of the most powerful tools we have against inequality and injustice.
That is why we renovated the public library in Sekyere East, Ashanti Region. The work is complete, and the library now serves over 1,000 people across the district, including students, researchers, and professionals who use it for their education and work.
What we did
Renovated the building
Repaired and repainted walls, secure windows and doors, and a clean, welcoming entrance.
Restored the reading room
Shelves filled with books, from storybooks and novels to reference books, organised so readers find what they need quickly.
Improved the grounds
New concrete walkways lead safely to the entrance.
