Our leadership
The people who carry the work.
Founders, board, advisers, and practitioners in Germany, Ghana, and the diaspora.
Yaw Barwuah
Founder and Director
Yaw founded the B.Y. Foundation to give disadvantaged children and communities a more dignified chance, through education and practical support.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Development in Ghana, a postgraduate certificate in Communication, and an MBA from Tomas Bata University in the Czech Republic. He has worked as a business and social entrepreneur for more than 15 years.
Through the foundation he has supported communities in Ghana, Togo, and South Africa. His starting point is that help should not wait for a fortune. It starts with whatever a person can actually give.
“I do not have to have millions of dollars before I can help someone. I will do the little I can, so the world is a better place for the people I am able to reach.”
From an interview on Ultimate FM in Kumasi, as published by the foundation.
